Axie Infinity got me into web3 gaming. Today I’m really humbled to partner with them through @AngryDynomites. It was 2021 when I first heard about @AxieInfinity. I was a complete web3 noob but I somehow managed to buy 3 Axies and play. It taught me so much about the intersection between gaming and blockchain. I was amazed how Axie integrated tokens and NFTs into the game and how it broke boundaries outside of the game itself. It opened up so many new economic opportunities. I quickly started doing scholarships, partnering with hundreds of players. It became a meta game on its own. Axie convinced me that web3 gaming is the future. Ownership and interoperability open up endless possibilities. It pulled me in completely and sparked a huge passion for web3. I knew I wanted to be part of this movement and contribute my experience from traditional game development. That’s how VOYA Games started. We wanted to build a real player-owned economy. Today we’re live on Ronin, running an economy with more than 30 tokens and now $AXS will join that world. It feels amazing to see things come full circle and to partner with the Axie OGs and the @SkyMavisHQ team, including @Jihoz_Axie. I still own my original Axies. They might be worthless now from an economic point of view, but they’ll always carry emotional value. They were the first game assets I truly owned. Our first event launches in about 2 hours.
