Algorand-Native $USDC Launches on @wirexapp and the Wirex Visa Card
Wirex has officially launched support for Algorand-native $USDC (issued by @circle), bringing the stablecoin to its 7+ million users and enabling spending at over 80 million Visa-accepting merchants worldwide.
Key features now available in the Wirex app:
- Hold and manage Algorand-native $USDC directly
- Send and receive $USDC on the Algorand blockchain with near-instant settlement and minimal fees
- Spend $USDC globally using the Wirex Visa card with real-time conversion and zero FX fees
- Seamlessly convert between fiat (via ACH, SEPA, and other rails) and $USDC at 1:1 with no additional costs
This integration combines Algorand’s high-speed, low-cost blockchain with Wirex’s global payment network, making stablecoin payments faster and more accessible.
@Algorand is now a core part of Wirex’s multi-chain stablecoin infrastructure, further expanding real-world use of $USDC in everyday payments.
